JAHRTAL - "Lichtbuch" CD 2008  (Ahnstern / Steinklang) - 35 zł - "Lichtbuch" is a true treasure of Psychedelic Folk Music, a unique collection of traditional folksongs from the Alps, musical versions of poems by Joseph von Eichendorff, traditionals from England and Scotland in german translation and even a traditional Tibetan prayer. Lichtbuch is a absolute authentic Folk album with great heart and pure soul. The songs and balads on Lichtbuch have mainly a sad-optimistic mood, they shall delight the listener, as well as touch him thoughtfully. Jahrtal is non-academic, honest music, which delivers the message of affection and momentaryness, of cause and effect. A wide and balanced instrumentation gives the album a unique touch. Besides a guitar, which the artist reconstructed himself to a Sitar (Gzitar), Jahrtal uses acoustic guitars, electric guitars, lute, banjo, dulcimer, gzitar, harpzither, psalter, flute, duduk, schalm, violin, organ and bird's voices. The main influences of Jahrtal are in the end-60ies and early 70ies with bands like Witthüser & Westrupp, Spirogyra and C.O.B., but a comparison to the most beautiful balads of Current 93 is inevitable as well. 12 tracks / 75 Min.

KENJI SIRATORI - "Brain Fucker"  CDR 2008 (Mask Of The Slave) - 15 zł - Born March 13, 1975, in Chitose, Hokkaido, Japan, Kenji Siratori is a cyberpunk author and internet self-promoter. He first gained attention in 2006 by writing to as many industrial, ambient, EBM and goth bands he could find, including "reviews" of them in his idiosyncratic style, and asking to collaborate. His scattergun approach proved successful, despite his reviews of non-sequitirs and non-sensical cyberspeak being interchangeable, and a slew of collaborations from flattered musicians were soon foisted upon the world. KRYPTOGEN RUNDFUNK + HLADNA - "Rokton + Formanta" 3'CDR (Zhelezobeton) - 15 zł - / ltd. 250 copies.  Hladna and Kryptogen Rundfunk - behind these names stand two St. Petersburg-based musicians playing experimental noise music. They both nourish a tender passion for old electronic instruments and often use them at their concerts and on recordings. One warm sunny day they gathered and decided to play on two analogue rhythm synthesizers "Rokton" and "Formanta". These are actually two identical instruments which were produced in the Soviet Union by two different factories. Each of them is the "brain" for electronic drum-kit, but can also be used separately - as a multi-channel tone-noise-generator or rhytm-machine.  Live recording without any processing, with all it's natural crackles and tasty overloads. Abstract electronics, minimalism and a little noise.

KUU - "suomi or the well of impossible wishes" CD 2008 (Twilight Records) - 30 zł  - Dark Folk / Ambient.  Kuu is the name that Finnish people gives to the moon. The action: the battle with yourself. Z Recanati pochodzi tez Der Feuerkreiner, z którym L'Effet C'Est Moi wydaje się dzielić namiętność dla epiki, neoklasycznych i wojennych kompozycji. W "Tomber en Heros" L'Effet C'Est Moi odnosi się w szczególności do koncepcji w której Nietsche sugerował zależność pomiędzy klasą panującą a wynikami osiąganymi przez społeczność. 12 utworów, około 44 minuty muzyki, CD w digipacku.

LAHARIS - "Unpolitical Alchemy" CD (Vrihaspati Records) - 30 zł -  Laharis is the new project of Johan König who was the original founder of A Challenge of Honour. After recording the 'Wilhelm Gustloff' sessions, Johan left ACOH and gave the Project to Peter, who is ACOH nowadays. In 2005 Johan started working on his own music again under a name that he used already several years ago: Laharis. On the new album "unpolitical alchemy" he works again (for the first time in 5 years) together with Peter. The sound is between the early ACOH recordings with modern electronic influences. A beautiful album with many psychedelic moments. the best soundtrack for long car-rides in dark nights. ATTENTION: this CD contains a hidden VIDEO-CLIP!

Beautiful lyrics in Russian (original poems of Symbolist poets Boris Poplavsky 1903-1935, Maximilian Voloshin 1877-1932 and translated poems of German Expressionist poet Georg Heym 1887-1912), acoustic guitars, violins, traditional Russian accordion (bayan). Decadent tragic atmosphere of Russian Silver Age faded away in cafés of Paris and Berlin, nostalgic and gloomy music rooted deeply in classical European and Russian musical traditions of XX century...

MAJDANEK WALTZ - "ХОЛОД"/"Cold"  CD 2006 (Kult Front) - WYPRZEDANE!! - "Cold" is the 4th release of KultFront label and the 2nd officially published work of Ryazan-based group Majdanek Waltz. "Silver age dark folk" - that's how this release can be characterized. Live flute and accordion, guitar and bass, accompanied by smooth industrial noises, cast the feeling of transparent melancholy. This is neither light nor dark feeling. More likely it's closer to cosmic coldness, whirling onto the earth surface. Besides Majdanek Waltz this album was prepared with the help of other musicians: Anthesteria (St. Petersburg) and Wolfsblood (Moscow). Anthesteria presented a remix on the track "Everything is going to be in winter way"; Wolfsblood sang on the track "Cold" to the accompaniment of MW.
