SECOND SKIN - "Illa Exuro In Silentium"  CD  (Palace Of Worms) - 30 zł -  "Illa Exuro In Silentium" is their 29th musical release and fourth studio album. Arron over the years has played with everyone from Rozz Williams to The Mission UK, the band has been honored to be a part of the Bowie Tribute by Cleopatra, which prompted Earl Slick of Bowie's current lineup to let us know it was his favorite version of a Bowie song... also the band was part of the Tributes both to the Cure and The Mission that got the band high marks from both Robert Smith and Wayen Hussey. SEELENTHRON / TRAUM'ER LEBEN / TRINITHOS - "III" digipack CD 2008  (Heimatfolk / Steinklang)  - 30 zł - "III" is a 3-way split album by the classic German NeoFolk bands SEELENTHRON, TRAUM'ER LEBEN and TRINITHOS. on this album each band interprets their favourite songs by the other 2 bands + one own new song by each artist. the finale of "III" is a bonus track by Alexander Meier (Seelenthron) - a fantastic, neoclassical coverversion of a Soulsearch / Sturmpercht song. the 3 bands are well known and highly recommended in the German NeoFolk scene, as they are all fantastic musicians and great live-artists. Seelenthron and Traum'er Leben have already released several outstanding albums, but for Trinithos "III" is the debut-release (beside some very limited CDR releases). the first album by Trinithos comes in early may 2008 on HEIMATFOLK.

SEELENTHRON - "Wege" digipack CD (Heimatfolk/Steinklang) - WYPRZEDANE!!  - Second full-length album from the two former Dies Natalis protagonists, Norbert Strahl and Alex Meier. "Wege" is a classical Neofolk album in best tradition. Some songs mirror a sad, sometimes even gloomy picture of the world inside and outside of ourselves, other songs are just filigree Folk-ballads, as beautiful and dreamy as one could imagine. Nevertheless all nine songs always stand strong and powerful, showing a path to the listener, never to turn back and never to lose his courage. Ash!!! label. Shadow Theater is an acknowledged power noise project from Germany created as a result of collaboration between Flutwacht and Vincenzo Bossi.

SHINJUKU THIEF - "The Scribbler" CD 2007 (Cold Spring) - 30 zł - Reissue of the 1992 classic by this Australian genius, originally released in an edition of 500 copies. Occasional bursts of factory noise, industrial rumblings and disembodied German voices form the backdrop to a minimalist reworking of Kafka's "The Trial." An album of dense filmic atmospheres and orchestral instrumentation. 'The Scribbler' has been digitally remastered and is enhanced with a series of video clips constructed by Richard Grant (I+T=R), incorporating both new material together with the original images prepared for "The Scribbler" live show.

SISTRENATUS - "Sensitive Disturbance" CD (Cold Spring)  - 30 zł -  Blurring the lines between Dark Ambient, Industrial and Noise, Sistrenatus storms forth, shifting between oppressive aggression and unsettling atmospheres. "Sensitive Disturbance" is the third offering from this now legendary Canadian act, whose debut "Division One" was issued on Cold Spring in 2007. An aural journey through the urban decay of abandoned factories, scorched landscapes and underground passageways. "Sensitive Disturbance" is an abrasive rendition of the industrial revolution in its darkest phases.

SKITLIV - "Amfetamin" CD (Cold Spring) - 30 zł - Exclusive release from the Doom / Noise project of Maniac (ex-MAYHEM), featuring Kvarforth (SHINING), and with special guest vocals by Attila (SUNN O))), MAYHEM). From Black Metal through Funeral Doom and Demonic Noise, Skitliv cover all the bases in modern extreme sonics. The CD version includes bonus tracks from Skitliv's live performance at the Camden Underworld, London, 13th December 2007, with a special intro from CURRENT 93 (David Tibet & Andrew Liles).

SKULLFLOWER - "IIIrd Gatekeeper" digi-CD (Crucial Blast) - 30 zł - Post-industrial / noise / industrial-rock. Reissued 15 years after its original 1992 release, Skullflower's IIIRD GATEKEEPER is considered by many to be the most accessible album by the "difficult" U.K. power-noise ensemble. However, given the acceptance and relative mainstreaming (if articles in the New York Times count as such) of noise music in the form of avant-garde metal bands such as Om, Sun O))), and Earth, it seems as if Skullflower may have simply been a little early to the show. The band's extreme electric caterwaul is certainly not for everyone, but there's a definite sort of beauty here as well, albeit an unconventional one. Skullflower were underground noise freaks during the '90s; in the 2000s they deserve to be held up as maverick noise experimentalists who were, in fact, way ahead of the times (and the Times).

SLEEP RESEARCH FACILITY - "Dead Weather Machine" CD (Manifold) - 30 zł -  Dark exquisite ambient, simply perfect The titanic waves of impenetrable sonics slowly swing from out of the far-away darkness like the tentacles of some galaxy-sized beast, moving through clouds with the power of a silk-covered sledgehammer, thudding at the other side of the world. Several tracks of slightly differing technique are just chilling, huge and deep...scary deep. Like the electrically-charged shade of Lustmord's 'Place Where The Black Stars Hang'. Monstrous. Somehow threatening. The previous SRF record, 'Nostromo' used the first few seconds of the film 'Alien' to create an expansive, chilling work of ambient. Here, the artist was living in a small flat in the UK with a heating/ac unit that was slowly breaking down, clogged with dust, slowly choking on it's own decay. Dead Weather Machine tells monstrous tales of things and places and feelings that it's common beginnings would never seem to suggest. But then imagine being as small as a piece of dust, trekking through some enormous, dying mechanical landscape, the sounds of world-sized storms swirling all around you. A microscopic entity, floating for ages through the channels and chambers of an enormous, dying machine, a machine that makes the weather for an entire world. A machine that is slowly dying.

SLEEP RESEARCH FACILITY - "Nostromo" CD (Cold Spring) - 30 zł - Ultra deep ambience, based on the first 8 minutes of the movie 'Alien' which depicts the deep space haulage vessel slowly moving through the void. The disc takes you through a slow trip into the ship via tracks DECK A - E, deeper and deeper into the bowels of the 'Nostromo'. Colossal dark ambience from the abyss, with beautiful artwork that evokes the sinister atmosphere of the ship. 'Nostromo' was reissued in December 2007 with bonus track 'Narcissus'.

SLEEP RESEARCH FACILITY - "Deep Frieze" CD 2007 (Cold Spring) - 30 zł - Ultra deep, glacial Dark Ambient, based around Antarctic co-ordinates. The polar regions are awe-inspiring environments of inhospitable minimalism, and at the same time there's a beautiful serenity to be found in their uncharted bleakness. There's a powerful purity and a timelessness to be found there; snow which has lain un-trampled for millennia and ice which formed eons ago; mountain ranges and deserts and rivers to be found if you look. 'Deep Frieze' is SRF's second album for Cold Spring and here deep, resonant, abyss-like drones shine forth from icy chasms below.

SLEEPING PICTURES - "Many Hands Should Throw Stones" CD 2006  (Old Europa Cafe) - 25 zł -  This includes sombre piano pieces, experimental soundscapes and an expansion upon the electric guitar work hinted at on their previous release. The lyrics of vocalist Marc Blackie have also began to explore new themes whilst retaining his characteristic bleakness. SLOGUN - "Glory Of Murder" CD 2008 (BloodLust!) - 30 zł - Power electronics.  This is the sixth and final release in the main part of the Slogun "History of Violence" re-issue campaign. "The Glory Of Murder" was originally released on cassette in April 1998 on the short-lived Italian label Soffitta Macabra which was co-run by Marco "Depla" Deplano [Wertham, Foresta Di Ferro, etc.] and Pino; The hand-numbered edition of 100 copies has long been a rarity; This cassette was a major entry in the evolving world of true crime subject matter, which Slogun was already immersed in, and it was also the last cassette released by Slogun prior to a notable switch-over to the compact disc medium; Like the first five re-issue CDs in the set, the audio for this re-mastered version was expertly prepared in Lille, France, by Jerome Nougaillon [Propergol], while John Balistreri's bold graphic design follows the standard that he created for the ongoing series. SLOGUN - "Days of agony" CD  (BloodLust!) - 30 zł - Power electronics.  This is the fifth release in the Slogun "History of Violence" re-issue campaign. "Days Of Agony" was the sixth Slogun full-length recording, originally issued on cassette in August 1997 by the cult Italian label, Murder Release. The cassette was housed in a white vinyl clamshell case with a black and white cover that featured a very timely raccoon-eyed picture of Karla Homolka, on the front, and the now infamous yearbook photograph of Homolka's deceased sister, Tammy Lyn, on the back. Trainspotters may also want to take note of the title of track six -- and while you are at it, check into track four -- and then dig very deep regarding the title of track three... Like the first four re-issue CDs in the set, the audio for this re-mastered version was skillfully prepared in Lille, France, by Jerome Nougaillon, while John Balistreri's graphic design follows the standard that he created for the ongoing series; This CD is packaged in a shrinkwrapped jewel box with a four-panel color, and black and white, booklet; "The Angels Are In Pain..."

STURMPERCHT - "Geister im Waldgebirg" digipack CD (Percht / Steinklang) - 30 zł - One year has passed since the Austrian / south Bavarian Alpin-Folk formation Sturmpercht released their last 7". finally now here is their long awaited new album! WALDTEUFEL - "Rauhnacht" digipack  CD / digipack with 16-page booklet (Steinklang / Percht) - 33 zł - Folk / Pagan.    6 songs and 40 minutes about the Austrian / South German Rauhnacht rituals. "Rauhnacht" is a rural, ancient soundtrack for the holy Jul nights, combined with dreamingly sad Folk balads and Pagan Folkmetal hymns. all artwork for this edition was painted by Markus Wolff in may 2007 on wood-plates and the CD, as well as the LP, has a booklet with german and english lyrics. the album was mastered by Axel Frank (WERKRAUM) at the Blue Lounge Studios / Berlin.

WANDER (Beequeen) - s/t  CD (Small Voices) - 35 zł -  Wander are Freek Kinkelaar and Frans de Waard, also known as Beequeen.  The material was recorded in the analogue studio Geluidswerkplaats Extrapool in late 2004 and early 2005, using a wide variety of vintage synthesizers (juno 60, korg MS20, roland SH 102 and Arp synthesizer) and a Philicordia organ. The four long pieces breath an atmospheric, pastoral sound of slow and deep evolving drones. The CD was mastered by Raymond Steeg of The Legendary Pink Dots' fame. The images on the cover and the disc were made with the help of Elise de Waard. Released in a special cardboard package with varnished images. Strictly limited edition of 600 copies

WOLFSKIN - "O Ajuntar das Sombras" digipack CD  (Malignant)  - 30 zł - Finally, after years of delay, O Ajuntas das Sombras by Wolfskin is finally unleashed. Initally intended to be a re-issue of 2001’s very limited The Gather of Shadows by the Setting Sun CDr (Ajna), it eventually evolved into a re-working of three tracks from that release, complimented by 7 newly recorded tracks. As the Wolfskin era comes to end , this release represents a glimpse into their past…a more organic, flowing ambient record than what you may find today, and perhaps the least conceptual of all their releases. That being said, it most certainly will go down as one of their more stunning, darker visions; a masterpiece of shadowy atmospheres and drifting currents, featuring multiple layers of archaic sounds, foggy, nebulous textures, and ritual invocations, perfectly combined to form a release of intense depth and complexity.Must certainly rank among the finest dark ambient records released in the history of Malignant. ZLYE KUKLY - "Strange tomorrow" CD (Steinklang / Ahnstern) - 30 zł - Folk / Dark Folk.  After several private CDR releases, "Strange tomorrow" is the first official album by this unique russian Folk band, based in Jerusalem / Israel. dreamingly beautiful, sad and at the same time weird and progressive Folk songs with a gentle early 70ies touch. the band uses a large variety of perfectly played acoustic instruments, as well as some fine electronic sounds. the powerful and empathetic (russian) vocals from Fred Adra and his (background) singers give a very personal and unique touch to the music of Zlye Kukly. this band is really hard to compare to other artists; maybe some of their songs remind a bit to the folky Gae Bolg, the best balads of Boyd Rice, but mainly You can feel the spirit of the great early 70ies aera of Yugoslavian folk artists, such as Kladivo Konj in Voda, Svremena na Vreme, Drugi Nacin and others.
